The dramatic landscape of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks testifies to nature's size, beauty and diversity's huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, the world's largest trees and CAVES! By some accounts, Sequoia National Park could have been set aside solely to protect the amazing caves found in this area.

Come and explore the underground world of Sequoia and Kings Canyon on a Crystal Cave tour. Join a tour and a cave naturalist will lead you on a journey through this beautifully decorated cave of impressive chambers, magnificent formations, rare minerals, unique animals and a polished marble stream.

Find your adventure! The Sequoia Parks Conservancy offers several different tours from mid-May through November. We look forward to seeing you underground!

Getting there

Allow for additional wait times at the Park Entrances. Expect to wait 30 minutes on the weekdays and 1 hour on Holidays and Weekends to get into the Park.

Travel Times from the Sequoia Kings Canyon Entrance Stations:
Ash Mountain (Highway 198): 1 hour and 30 minutes
Big Stump Entrance (Highway 180): 2 hours

Foothills Visitor Center: 1 hour
Lodgepole Visitor Center: 45 minutes
Giant Forest Museum: 30 minutes
Grant Grove Visitor Center: 2 hours
Cedar Grove Visitor Center: 3 hours
