Zion's own Left Fork (Subway) page says any spaces not taken through the Daily and Seasonal Lotteries are available as walk-in permits the day before or the day of a trip date, and that all wilderness permits are picked up in person at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center Wilderness Desk. It publishes no count of walk-in spaces.
