Zion's own Left Fork (Subway) page says the Daily Lottery is for when the Seasonal Lottery and calendar reservations are fully booked: one request per person, per canyon, submitted two days before the trip date between 12:00 am and 3:00 pm MT, drawn at 3:00 pm with results by 4:00 pm.
