The visitor center, on the right 3.5 miles after the entrance, is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. It has an information desk, museum, park film, and gift shop. It provides free maps, junior ranger booklets, and information. The museum includes geology, biodiversity, and human history exhibits. Its architecture showcases Civilian Conservation Corps rock work and Mission 66 architecture. The park store has shirts, books, stickers, and other collectibles. It is cashless! So, bring your card or mobile pay!

Getting there

Follow the main road into the park about 3.5 miles after the park entrance. The visitor center is the stone building on the right. Restroom and water filling station are outside. Park inside the white lines of a designated spot. The parking lot can fill up during holidays, mid-October, and from February to April. Do not bring RVs and large campers to the visitor center parking. Disconnect all trailers at Faraway Ranch. Large vehicle turnaround may not be possible. You may need to walk from Faraway.
