The BLM's own Coyote Buttes North page says The Wave, in Vermilion Cliffs National Monument on the Arizona-Utah line, is permit-only, allocated by two Recreation.gov lotteries: an Advanced Lottery for those planning four months ahead, and a Daily Lottery, entered from a mobile device inside a geofence near the site, that replaced the old walk-in lottery. We alert when each opens.
