The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center offers interpretive programs, exhibits, multi-media presentations, special events, and more than four miles of interpretive trails.
Using life-size displays, films and live theater presentations, this Center provides a unique opportunity to walk through a wagon train, join a group of emigrants as they cross the frontier, and experience history come to life.
The 500-acre site includes remnants of the historic Flagstaff Gold Mine, actual ruts carved by wagons, and magnificent vistas of the historic trail route.
Getting there
The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center is located five miles east of Baker City, Oregon, on Highway 86, Exit 302 from Interstate 84.
125 miles northwest of Boise, ID.
95 miles southeast of Pendleton, OR.
1991–2020 averages from the nearest NOAA station, 4.4 mi away — not measured at the facility itself, and elevation can make a real difference over that distance.
