Glacier National Park Logan Pass Shuttle Tickets

A Logan Pass Shuttle ticket is required for each person accessing the park’s Logan Pass Shuttle system. Tickets are valid for one day, and the valid date is displayed on each ticket. 

Children aged 2 and older must have their own seat and their own shuttle ticket. Infants under 2 years old can travel as a "lap child" and may ride the shuttle on the lap of a ticketed adult passenger. 

You may reserve up to 10 tickets per day. Glacier National Park’s shuttle bus season begins on July 1, and ends on September 7, 2026. A reservable ticketed shuttle pilot will be in place to service Logan Pass as a primary visitor destination, help visitors have a more predictable shuttle experience and manage congestion along Going-to-the-Sun-Road.  

Visitors planning hikes from Logan Pass that will exceed 3 hours should secure a Logan Pass Shuttle ticket, as parking at Logan Pass is limited to a maximum of 3 hours. 

Visitors can reach Logan Pass from the following areas using the shuttle system:  

West Side Shuttle Service: 

Starting Points: Apgar Visitor Center or Lake McDonald Lodge 

Once boarded at one of these starting locations, the only stop will be at Logan Pass. 

East Side Shuttle Service: 

Starting Points: St. Mary Visitor Center or Rising Sun Picnic Area 

Once boarded at one of these starting locations, the only stop will be at Logan Pass.  

Tickets are non-transferable and photo ID may be requested to verify that the ticket purchaser is present. Tickets purchased outside of Recreation.gov will not be honored. In addition to a shuttle ticket, visitors must have a park pass. Park passes are available for purchase at Glacier National Park entrance stations or online at Recreation.gov. The park will honor annual and lifetime passes for entry including: Glacier National Park Annual Pass, Interagency Annual Pass, Interagency Senior Pass, Interagency Access Pass, Interagency Volunteer Pass, Interagency Military Pass, and Interagency 4th Grade Pass. If you have one of these passes, you will not need to pay for a Glacier National Park Pass, but you will need to have your pass available at the entrance station for verification. 

Apgar Visitor Center: 

Apgar Visitor Center is near the communities of Kalispell, Whitefish, and Columbia Falls via the West Entrance Station. This portion of the park provides access to the Lake McDonald area, the Apgar Visitor Center and is the west entry point to the Going-to-the-Sun-Road. From Kalispell, take Highway 2 northeast to West Glacier (approximately 33 miles). Once inside the park, follow signs towards the Apgar Visitor Center.  

Lake McDonald Lodge: 

Lake McDonald Lodge is located closest to the West Entrance which provides access to the Lake McDonald area. From Kalispell, take Highway 2 northeast to West Glacier (approximately 33 miles). After passing the West Entrance Station, turn right onto Going-to-the-Sun Road, continue for 8.5 miles, then turn left onto Lake McDonald Lodge Loop for .3 miles, the lodge will be on your right. 

St. Mary Visitor Center: 

St. Mary Visitor Center is located near the communities of Browning, Babb, and St. Mary. The St. Mary Entrance Station provides access to the St. Mary Lake area, services at Rising Sun, and St. Mary Visitor Center, and is the east entry point to Going-to-the-Sun Road. From Browning, follow signage to the park.  

Rising Sun Picnic Area: 

Rising Sun Picnic Area is located closest to the St. Mary Entrance Station, near the communities of Browning, Babb, and St. Mary. From Browning, follow signage to the park. Once inside the park, continue on Going-to-the-Sun Road for 6.1 miles, turn left onto Rising Sun Picnic Area Road, and continue straight, the destination will be on your right in .2 miles. 

West Side  

• West Entrance – From Columbia Falls, take Highway 2 east to the town of West Glacier (approximately 33 miles from Kalispell).   

• West Entrance – From Browning, take Highway 2 west to the town of West Glacier.    

• Camas Entrance – From Columbia Falls, take Highway 489 north (aka North Fork Road) for 22 miles, turn south onto Camas Road until you reach the Camas Entrance Station.  

East Side  

• St. Mary Entrance – From Columbia Falls, take Highway 2 east to the town of Browning (approx. 83 miles). At the traffic circle, exit onto Hwy 89 north and continue for another 30 miles. Follow the signage to the St. Mary Visitor Center / Going-to-the-Sun Road.    

• St. Mary Entrance – From Browning, take Highway 89 north to Going-to-the-Sun Road.    

Approximate Drive Times 

Times listed below are estimates and will vary based on road construction, traffic, and time of day.   

Going-to-the-Sun Road (Paved road) 

• West Glacier to St. Mary: 2 hours   

St. Mary (Paved roads) 

• From Great Falls: 2.5 hours  

• From Kalispell via HWY 2: 2.5 hours   

West Glacier (Paved roads) 

• From Kalispell: 45 minutes  

• From Great Falls: 3 hours    

Approximate Shuttle times to get to Logan Pass: 

East side shuttles will take approximately 50 minutes. 

West side shuttles will take approximately 90 minutes.
