The French Lick Springs Hotel, built in 1901 and a member of Historic Hotels of America® since 2000 was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

French Lick was the destination of choice in the early 20th century among celebrities, politicians, and the rich and famous, who flocked to the southern Indiana resort to experience the world-famous mineral waters. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the French Lick Springs Hotel includes 443 guestrooms and suites, a 109,000-square-foot conference and event center, and a full-service spa. The hotel's historic Beaux-Arts architecture and its ornate masonry, including the elegant gold leafing, have been fully restored following a $500 million dollar restoration and expansion project. The lobby is the resort's showpiece, which ushers guests into a resort renowned for its peerless luxury.
